The Basketball Entry

Basketball, One game that you cant take out from my system. A game I grew up watching and playing. The Game I loved and I will love for a very very long time. But from what I've noticed the basketball situation nowadays is slowly declining, With the emergence of online games, The game Is now taking a backseat and the future of basketball in our country is suddenly uncertain.

I remember my elementary days when my mom used to scold me because of my uniform. I used to play basketball with my school uniform on, complete, With leather shoes and ID. I dont freaking care how I'd look like, All I want to do is to play. Play play play. Back then, Everyone is passionate about the game. The kids around the school would basically kill to get a spot in our school court. Well of course, Highschool guys would always get the court because, Yeah, They're highschool. But that would not stop us from playing. Outside our school, There's a barangay court. And there we would play, We'd do it almost every school day, Play until our lungs bust out because of fatigue, That's how passionate we were back then.

What alarms me now is that kids today are taller, smarter and bigger than what we were a couple of years back. But, they dont seem to have the same passion that we had for the game back then. They'd usually end up in a nearby computer cafe playing DOTA, Flyff, Ragnarok and all other online games. It's their decision anyways not mine. So I dont really have any reason to complain. :D

This Image made me write this article, Its nice to see kids still playing and hopefully loving the game. With the resurgence of PBA, I hope guys like JayJay Helterbrand, Mark Caguioa and Danny Seigle would inspire more kids to love the game again, For the sake of our country's basketball future.
